Theme for the week at Ambassy Club is Wild Water, so naturally we have some wet outdoor games.
By Joyce, Awesome Intern
After a long weekend, we return to start another new awesome week. As usual, at 10 o'clock we all gather up to do attendance. Today there were many new faces that joined the group. So we started off with a fun game called Spider Web. This game helped us to get to know each other better.
Afterwards we went outside to play some tag games to get everyone sweaty and warmed up. Then we came back in to cool off and do some more group working activities. One of the games needed a lot skills where you needed to work together in order to win.The kids enjoy this game very much!
As activities are getting more exciting and fun, it was about lunch time. Today we had pasta with broccoli, with the other option of rice with a typical Chinese dish.
After lunch half of the older kids first went to the pool while the rest did art and craft. Today for art and craft we made beautiful decorations that we could hang up, for example the door signs and also grapes that we put up across the room.
When the last group came back from swimming, we ate some yummy, juicy fruits and finished off with a simple game.

It was a sunny morning when all the kids arrived to the first day, July 1, of Awesome Summer Camp at InterContinental Shanghai Expo.
To get the kids got to know each other better, we added more team activities for this first day.
We kicked off with a game to get the teachers wet!
As the game starts, the first person in line take the bowl, walks over to the teacher, and pours the water in the bottle. Which ever team fills up the bottle first on the teacher's head wins. Getting the teachers wet, was one of the most fun activities with many laughs and will for sure be talked of for a long time among the kids.
After getting wet, we decided to enjoy the amazing weather! With all the energy the kids had, we played a game where the kids could be active - soccer. About 15 minutes later everyone started to get sweaty and thirsty.
We brought the kids back in giving them some free time before the dance session. The kids LOVES the Gangnam Style by Psy dance, with our teacher Stephanies leading the crazy dance, dance class was over before you knew it.
As the kids start to get hungry and exhausted it was lunch time!
Today we had a delicious chinese dish with rice and some fruits. When the kids sit at their table waiting for food, they all looked a little bit like cute puppies who haven't eaten in a week! After their first round of food they go for seconds and some may even eat more!
When everyone finished eating we had art and craft followed by swimming in the indoor pool, another one of their favorite activity.
At the end of the day we finished off with some simple games, a healthy snack and a smile on everyone's face.
Thank you for today!
